A few days after my oil change I stopped back in with a different issue that they helped me take care of, while the hood was up I noticed that the oil filter that I purchased was not used. I brought my own oil and filter with me. Now I have questions about the service. The oil and filter I provided were not in the truck, so I know they took it out. I would like to know if they used the oil I bought.

Admiral Tire and Auto have a class A crew. Took my Jeep Rubicon in for an oil change and rotation of tires. Oil change was a breeze but they found I had two TIGHT lug nuts that were challenging to take off without stripping. Prior to this I took my vehicle into Nealey’s for a oil change and tire rotation. Oil change was fine but they gave me an excuse of why they couldn’t rotate my tires. Sean and his team at Admiral were very knowledgeable took the situation at hand didn’t give me any issues and were able to rotate my tires without any stripping of the lug nuts. Highly recommend this crew.

I just wanted a wheel balance and Alinement. They kept trying to add items on my account. Then they said I needed control arms before I have my Alinement done. So, I went some where elts and göt an Alinement. My control arms were fine.

Based on the test drive of the 2011 Chrysler with just under 100,000 miles, it is common to observe wear and tear. We noticed severe vibrations and pulling to one side at high speeds, which prompted us to inspect the tires and the underside of the vehicle. During the inspection, we recommended replacing a tire due to belt separation, as this is a standard recommendation and can also cause pulling, among other issues. When a tire experiences belt separation, it becomes impossible to balance. In some cases, performing an alignment on heavily worn components like control arms may be possible. However, it is not always the most appropriate course of action. Aligning the vehicle in such situations may be considered a waste of our customers' time and money, as it only addresses a symptom rather than the underlying problem. Ultimately, we strive to provide excellent service and prioritize the work requested by our customers. However, if performing a requested service would compromise the safety of the vehicle after leaving our shop, we must respectfully decline. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to work with you in the future. Thank you for your time.

I first went to Admiral because I had a light indicating that my O2 sensor had failed and I couldn't pass emissions. I supplied my own sensor, which they said was great, but then my receipt was covered with warnings that there would be no warranty because I had supplied the part. (Makes sense, but they should have told me ahead of time!) And the only comment on replacing my Bank 1 Sensor 1 was "Engine Work"!!! I went back to Admiral a month or so later and just asked them to make the Engine light go out! I should have told them the Exact Bank1 Sensor1 error codes I was given and asked them to NOT hook up to the OBD2 - they charged me $129 for that privilege! They then obtained an Air-Fuel Ration Sensor for $420 - all the sensors I can find are less than $200!! As before, they charged me $129 to replace the sensor - I expect that's minimal labor charge because it's a 10 minute job once it's up on the lift! When I left Admiral after spend $749.60 my engine light came back on immediately and my OBD2 readout indicated the same O2 (air-fuel ration) sensor failure as before. I don't plan on taking the car back to Admiral because I'm convinced they can't fix my problem and it's difficult to go any length of time without my car!

We apologize for any dissatisfaction you may have experienced, and we would be more than happy to thoroughly diagnose your vehicle. Our previous actions involved replacing the parts requested by you, without conducting a comprehensive diagnosis of the vehicle. However, it is important to note that diagnosing issues in a vehicle with over 230,000 miles can be time-consuming, as there may be underlying problems caused by wear and tear. These issues can range from sensor ground problems, certain codes may trigger others, to even something as simple as a defective part. To ensure fair and consistent practices, we base our labor time on the manufacturer's recommended time, which is an industry-standard approach. It is essential to recognize and value the time and expertise that mechanics invest in their work. Given the opportunity, we would be delighted to thoroughly diagnose your vehicle and find a resolution for the issues you're facing.
