Just be aware that if you get your vehicle state inspected by them, if it fails for any reason, you will be charged an additional fee for a 'visual' re-inspection. Also, they tried to charge me $270+ for a $40 part. Just saying.
Thank you for the feedback, Stephen. I apologize for the miscommunication, but it is important to clarify a few a points about the inspection process. All inspections are $122, whether the vehicle passes or fails inspection. That $122 fee only covers the initial inspection. For your Acura, the rear control arm needed to be replaced which requires more than a 'visual' inspection. It required the inspector to lift the vehicle to ensure the part had been replaced and installed safely. A 'visual' inspection would entail something like a windshield, lights, or bumper, i.e. anything that can be observed without moving the vehicle . Per the Maryland Vehicle Inspection guidelines: "If re-inspection requires jacking, lifting, measuring, or testing, a prorated fee may be charged." If you would like to discuss the inspection process further, please give us a call (410-956-5500) during normal business hours (M-F 8:00AM to 5:00PM) and we will be happy to address any further concerns. Thank you.
