4 Signs Of Bad Tire Alignment

Tires are very important for your vehicle and the ability to control it. However, maintaining them is frequently overlooked. Have you ever noticed your vehicle pulling to one side while driving? Or maybe you've noticed uneven tire wear or vibrations through the steering wheel. All of these are signs of misaligned wheels. However, in addition to the three symptoms listed above, others point to the same issue. Continue reading to learn about them and why you shouldn't ignore them.

1. Car Vibrates At High Speeds

A common sign of misaligned wheels is vibration while driving at high speeds. This happens because of the improper balance in the wheels, which makes them rotate inconsistently. Make sure to visit a repair shop because this can lead to a loss of control over the vehicle.

2. Brakes Wear-Off Faster

When the wheels are misaligned, the rotors and brake pads don't make good contact. This wears them off unevenly and much faster, resulting in frequent brake pad replacements. Good alignment will make sure braking is as efficient as possible.

3. Pulling To One Side

Another obvious sign is pulling to one side. This means that when the steering wheel is straining, the car goes to the left or right on its own. As you may guess, this is extremely dangerous and could harm you and your vehicle. Proper wheel alignment doesn't only align your wheels; it also balances them so they will make proper contact with the ground at any time.

4. Steering Wheel Is Crooked

Is your steering wheel turned to one side when driving straight? If so, the answer to this problem, which many think is nothing, is wheel alignment. When the wheels aren't aligned, all other components and systems start to be misaligned as well. This is most visible with the steering wheel - it appears crooked, and steering can be confusing at times.
